I'm not too sure our home is "holiday home tour" worthy but, yet, here we are! I love decorating for Christmas and love documenting the process even more so I'm excited to share these pictures today. It's just too much fun to play around with my camera, edit photos and attempt to capture a somewhat clean-looking house every once in awhile, right?!
I'm slowly but surely adding to our holiday decor collection. We don't have a ton of stuff and decorating literally takes an hour or so but I love the few subtle touches we have here and there. We moved the recliner to the other side of the living room so I could fulfill my dream of putting the Christmas tree centered in the windows. I've decided I may just need a 2nd tree in the playroom next year so everyone can see the Christmas joy from the street as they drive by our house. #christmasgoals
We have our tree and mantel lit up all day, every day and I love it. We play Christmas music every day from about 10 am - 4 pm and I have a gingerbread house decorating party planned for the neighbor kids later this month. I know it's cheesy, but it truly is the most wonderful time of the year! #sorrynotsorry

Justin didn't have his "baby's first christmas" ornament from his childhood so last year, I searched for a 1982 ornament to give him. I found Santa flying the plane on eBay and it's perfect! I like to hang all 4 of our "first christmas" ornaments together at the top of the tree like a total Christmas freak.

I'm constantly searching for a good way to display our family's Christmas cards from year to year. I strung them on the railing leading upstairs this year but might find a different place next year. They're hard to see and I want to show them off; I love looking back on them to see how our family changes over the years.
A little Christmas joy in Gracyn's room. She begs to sleep with her tree on every night. This picture reminds me that we need to get some mini ornaments so she can decorate that little guy.
We made the thumbprint lights last year as a little craft. Super easy to do with toddlers, too! Just draw out your "string" on a canvas and use their thumbs to create the lightbulbs. I added gold foil afterwards because I may or may not have a slight addiction to that stuff...
Aaaaand, don't forget my beloved ornament wreaths on the girls' bedroom doors.
There you have it! Like I said, not of ton going on but enough to keep me happy this time of year!
Festive fun everywhere! Love what you've done to make the new house your home. .. can't wait to see it!
