Justin took Gracyn fishing for the first time over the weekend. There is a nice little pond behind his sister's house stocked full of catfish who just so happen to like hotdogs. It made for easy bait and she didn't have to touch worms so it was a win-win.
She put her line in the water only TWICE and pulled out a fish! She was so excited but didn't want anything to do with the first little guy. Justin was in charge of unhooking it and setting it free.
Two more casts and she ended up catching another one! It was so funny to see her try and reel it in. With dad's help, she posed for a trophy picture and even touched it. She determined it was a mommy fish and she needed to go back to her family. Then I died. It was so sweet.

Such a fun little afternoon with our biggest gal and I'm glad she had a good time. I'm sure Justin has many fishing trips planned for the future!

ReplyDeleteI would love fishing if it weren't for the slimy worms and taking the fish off the hook....so fishing with hot dogs is totally my thing! Great pictures!
