Apparently I only blog on Fridays.

Call it a summer break, maybe? I meant to blog several times this week but time just got away from me. The kids have protested bedtime every night and by the time they're finally asleep it's past 9pm all I wanna do is eat ice cream and watch bad tv. They've also been waking up before 7am which is soooo not cool. I'm feeling a little tired these days. Or at least MORE tired than I normally am..

It's July 1st and that means the 30 Days of Summer Photo Challenge is over! It was so fun to participate in Megan's challenge and I'm so glad I was able to post every day. Almost all of the photos were taken with my Nikon D3100 and I'm having fun learning how to operate in manual mode. There are a few iPhone snaps thrown in for good measure, too.

Like I needed another time-suck in my life but I confess I have a newfound love for binge watching Orange Is The New Black. I'm only a couple episodes into season 1 and already love it.

Amidst the hustle and bustle of packing and moving at the beginning of the summer, we totally missed our chance to go berry picking. Strawberries, blueberries, blackberries. All available for picking at various orchards around the metro. I am already putting this on my calendar so we don't miss out next year!

We have a walkthrough with our builder this morning but the house isn't quite done so I'm not sure how it's going to go. There is no sod and no fence and we haven't heard if they've gotten the certificate of occupancy from the city yet. With the holiday coming, it's making us a bit nervous because the bank needs that before they can move to closing.

We also feel there are quite a few touchups and fixes needed inside the house, too, so I feel like we'll be putting sticky notes on every surface. And the builder will hate us.

We're supposed to close next Friday so once again, we're kinda stressing. Hopefully it all works out!

We're packing up and heading to Oklahoma for the July 4th weekend but first I feel the strong need to stop by Frankie & Jules to pick up this shirt...

I just hope I can get there before they're all sold out!

I hope you all have a safe and happy 4th of July!
