As Justin walks in the door from work...
Gracyn: dad, will you chase me?
Justin: i'm kind of tired.
Gracyn: but you're my best friend!

After Leighton woke up from her nap...
Mackenzie: come on, gracyn. let's go get sissy.
Gracyn: ok, mom! i am at your service!

While she was doing something dangerous and/or something she wasn't supposed to be doing...
Mackenzie: Gracyn, please be careful.
Gracyn: don't worry, mom. i got this.

While using the restroom...
Gracyn: i need privacy, please.
Mackenzie: *turns away from her*
Gracyn: ok, i'm done.
Mackenzie: *turns towards her*
Gracyn: no! i'm not done...
Mackenzie: *turns away from her*
Gracyn: ok. done.

While using the restroom (and - I'm convinced - staring into my soul)...
Gracyn: poooooooooooop!

One afternoon while being particularly moody...
Gracyn: i'm crying my sadness

Randomly while playing in the family room...
Gracyn: i'm just gonna go upstairs, mom. to kansas city. to where i live.

Trying to get into the {unlocked} bathroom....
Gracyn: ugh, it's no use!

While laying on the couch with me...
Gracyn: is your tummy gettin' bigger, mom?
Mackenzie: *side eye emoji*
Gracyn: well, it is.
