Bumpdate :: 29 Weeks

We now have an eggplant and an acorn squash in the house that I'm not quite sure what to do with. Recipes, anyone?

I purchased some mini pumpkins at the grocery store this afternoon so I'm thinking those + this beautiful squash can be combined to make some sort of table scape.  Or something. Yes, that's what I'll do. I shall call it "decorating for fall" and they will live on my mantel until they start to rot.

I have approximately 5 fall-like decorations, which is kinda sad, but I finally busted them out today so now we're finally all festive up in here.

The weekend went by too quickly, of course, but I got a few things done around the house. Gracyn's room is almost done. I just have to find a couple of picture frames for one last project and get those hung up. It turned out so good - I can't wait to show it off.

I'm off to watch the Royals sweep the Angels (hopefully) and try to get to bed before midnight.

Happy Fall, Ya'll!

  1. I like your idea of using the squash for decor but you may like it cooked. Baby O is growing and baby G. is looking older in this photo! Oh my, it's all going quite quickly! Exciting!!

  2. I'm so late keeping up with these but I LOVE acorn squash!! Slice it in half (kind of hard to do), de-seed it, put face down and bake on like 350 for 45 min, then turn over and put some butter & brown sugar in it, and broil for like 10 more min. I just love it. :)
